About the role

The Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) position at Speedway7-Eleven involves overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees. This role also includes assisting in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, alongside the Store Leader, for all store employees.
  • Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
  • Absorb and implement all merchandising and marketing programs.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and interact professionally with employees and customers.
  • Utilize proficient computer knowledge, particularly Microsoft products like Word and Excel.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
  • A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during employment.
  • The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
