Position Summary The Clinton County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking an attorney to serve as an Assistant State’s Attorney. The position involves prosecuting a variety of criminal matters, substantial courtroom experience, and independently managing an assigned caseload with limited supervision. The Office values professionalism, teamwork, sound judgment, and service to the community. Responsibilities Include Review, evaluate, and prosecute a variety of criminal cases with a focus on juvenile (JA and JD) cases.Prepare for and conduct hearings and trialsPrepare charging documents, motions, and other legal documents.Conduct legal research and apply Illinois law.Communicate professionally and effectively with law enforcement, victims, witnesses, defense counsel, the judiciary, and the public.Manage an assigned caseload and exercise sound professional judgment.Perform other duties as assigned by the State’s Attorney.
