Assistant State's Attorney

Immediate openings for Assistant State’s Attorney position to work in Lincoln, Logan County, Illinois. Applicants must be licensed to practice in Illinois, or have recently taken the bar exam. Job duties include making criminal charging decision, working with law enforcement, conducting motion hearings, and trials. Assistant State’s Attorneys have the opportunity to work in all areas of criminal law. This full-time position also affords the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced prosecutors. The position requires organization and time management skills as well as the ability to communicate well within the courthouse and public. Benefits include participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), health, dental, and vision insurance. No residency requirement. Current starting salary will range from $80,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience.
