Assistant Softball Coach, Northridge High School

About the Role

This position works closely with the head coach to support their plan, oversee specific aspects of practice, and supervise students until they are picked up from practice and/or meets.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise game help
• Assist with supervision at activities
• Run designated aspects of practice
• Supervise students until pickup after practice or meets

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification
• Completion of CHSAA test and concussion education
• Prior coaching experience in softball (preferred)
• Bilingual skills (preferred)

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards
• Ability to perform all duties of the position
• Leadership skills for meeting students' social, emotional, psychological, and academic needs
• Flexibility, conflict resolution skills, and ability to handle high-stress environments
• Ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions

Pay

Salary placement on the Co-Curricular Salary schedule depends on the sport and the employee's in-district experience as outlined in Article XXIII of the Master Contract.

Schedule

Contract length varies for the 2026-2027 school year.

• Visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity important
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
