Assistant Smokehouse Operator

HOURS

• 1st SHIFT - Mon. - Fri. 6:00am to 2:30pm or until finished with mandatory overtime as daily schedule requires.
• 2nd SHIFT - Mon. - Fri. 2:30pm to 11:30pm or until finished with mandatory overtime as daily schedule requires.

PAY

$20.00 per hour plus $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift ONLY

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Rolling large carts of hanging sausages (weighing ~500 lbs) into and out of our Kitchen & Processing Areas
• Tracking and recording oven cook times and temperatures
• Tracking and recording chill down time and temperatures
• Rotating racks of product efficiently to keep pace with our assembly and production lines
• Cleaning and inspecting the Kitchen and Smokehouse areas before and after daily production
• Coordinating with the room supervisor on the schedule for the day
• Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions
• Ability to fill in other key positions (such as spice blending) as needed
