The Role
The Assistant Sales Manager at Everstory Partners is a key role in supporting grieving families and managing sales operations. This position is responsible for achieving sales targets, coaching staff, and ensuring high-quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the attainment of assigned sales quotas by overseeing sales and service at a specific location.
- Counsels and coaches all assigned Sales Staff to ensure the highest quality servicing of existing customers.
- Trains all assigned sales staff to ensure the best possible results from presentations to current and potential customers.
- Reviews prior day results and appointments to provide recommendations on issues that may have surfaced.
- Meets with clients both on and off-site to develop Family History Folders, including listing of associations and clubs the deceased was a member of, pallbearers, and all family members.
- Schedules all Family Service employees on a regular or rotating basis, ensuring coverage at all times.
- Ensures staff is providing at-need clients with all options and services available, including tours of the site and plot locations.
- Responds to routine and non-routine problems, as they occur within the site, coordinating and solving issues with other departments as needed.

Requirements
- A significant ability to empathize with grieving families through a time of heightened emotion.
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain professionalism.
- One to two years of direct sales experience, preferably in the Cemetery industry, or 2-3 years experience outside the industry.
- At least one year of supervisory or management experience, preferably within a sales capacity.
- Ability to implement new and effective methods of increasing sales in a competitive environment.
- Possesses influence and the ability to interact and collaborate with people at all levels and in a team atmosphere.
- Strong organization skills with an ability to effectively and quickly complete tasks and assignments and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma required.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
