Assistant Roofing Service Technician

We are actively searching for an Assistant Service Repair Technician to join our service team in the Tampa/Brandon/Riverview area. In this role, you’ll provide support to the Service department by investigating and repairing a variety of roof types. You’ll work closely with a Lead Service Technician in your assigned demographic region to help deliver quality solutions to our clients. Job Duties: Work with Lead Service Technician to investigate and repair all types of low-slope commercial roofsWork to develop skill of determining leak location and common leak issues by Roof System TypeDemonstrate safe working environmentDevelop advanced knowledge of all roof systems and roof system componentsAssisting in all snow and hurricane events to either participate in repairs or supervisionMeet schedule and requirements of ClientsPerform quality repairs with no callbacks due to workmanshipDemonstrate understanding of warranty and non-warranty repair typesResponsible for learning and operating service software (FCS) Assist to collect data for proposed scopes of work Skills and Qualifications: Roofing knowledge and experience preferredPreferred experience in construction and/or working with hand toolsAbility to obtain OSHA certificationMust be able to climb a ladder; position may require lifting up to 80 lbs. Must be able to work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow)Ability to operate tablet and smartphoneWeekend and/or overnight travel may be requiredMust pass be able to complete and pass pre-employment drug screening
