Responsibilities
- Supports the Restaurant Leader on all aspects of operations.
- Leads all operations in the absence of the Restaurant Leader.
- Responsible for leading day-to-day operations and administration.
- Provides coaching to department and shift leaders.
- Maintains an environment conducive to a fun, productive, and compliant workplace.
- Manages by walking around (MBWA) in a manner that encourages the use of systems, standards, and routines.
- Ensures compliant performance management process is followed.
- Leads employee-centric training programs within the restaurant.
- Manages talent acquisition for restaurant-level roles.
- Works a flexible schedule and is on call as business needs dictate.
Requirements
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience in an Assistant Manager or equivalent manager role in a hospitality, retail, or restaurant environment with similar or higher volume.
- Must have a Can-Do attitude and be committed to the overall success of the business.
- Must be able to understand, analyze, and act on a Profit and Loss (PnL) Statement.
- Must be able to execute labor controls and coach leadership team on labor controls.
- Must be able to create action plans, delegate tasks among leadership team, and follow up to ensure completion of tasks.
- Must be able to manage a culture of hospitality to ensure that our restaurants are leaders in guest service.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and track goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in an Assistant General Manager or equivalent role within retail, hospitality, or a restaurant business.
- Desire to continue to advance in restaurant leadership.
