About the Role

Pelham Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma-informed care. Pelham provides 24-hour comprehensive care including an on-site school, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

In this position, you will convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students. You will support program safety and compliance with safety and security procedures, including rotating on-call coverage. You will also support the professional development of Residential Counselors through training and supervision, and ensure the safety and well-being of students through knowledge of Pelham Academy’s Residential Department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedures on-site and through rotating on-call coverage.
  • Support the professional development of Residential Counselors through training and supervision.
  • Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Apply knowledge of Pelham Academy’s Residential Department policies and procedures to support staff and programming.
  • Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere for students.
  • Transport students as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
  • Supervisory experience in a mental health facility required.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license (transporting students is required).
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $27.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. Due to the nature of our work, overtime may be mandated.
