Assistant Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid the Resident Engineer in daily site management and inspection activities.
• Review and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Support the resolution of technical issues and construction challenges.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Aid in preparing project reports and documentation for audits and closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in construction engineering or similar roles, preferably on transit/transportation projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively on-site and collaboratively in a team environment.
