Responsibilities
- Aid the Residence Director with daily residence operations.
- Supervise and train residential staff, embodying best practices in care and support.
- Lead teams by example, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and positive communication.
- Occasionally provide on-call coverage, including weekends and RD vacation coverage.
- Support residents in learning and practicing life skills, promoting independence and community engagement.
- Implement and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and therapeutic interventions accurately and consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of residential spaces, ensuring a comfortable living environment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents' families, guardians, and external service providers.
- Encourage community integration and social activities for residents.
- Advocate for residents' goals and interests within the residence and the broader community.
- Assist with financial management, including budgeting, expense tracking, and record-keeping.
- Participate in supervision meetings, staff meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Document care and progress notes, ensuring compliance with agency standards.
- Complete required certifications and ongoing training (e.g., MAP, CPR, First Aid).
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
- A valid driver's license issued from your state of residence.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
