Assistant Research Professor - Neuroscience / UMKC School of Medicine

Major responsibilities

Maintaining an active extramurally funded research program, mentoring the research projects of graduate and undergraduate health sciences and professional students, residents, and fellows. Although primary responsibilities will be research-related, there will be some accompanying teaching responsibilities with this research science appointment. The successful applicant will be expected to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary university and hospital research environments. Successful experience or demonstrated potential for mentoring research methodology to students and/or support for interdisciplinary neuroscience research projects, and success in obtaining extramural research funding are required.

Qualifications

• M.D. or Ph.D. disciplines relative to the job description, (i.e. Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology)
