Assistant Research Professor

About the role

The Division of Palliative Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine seeks candidates for full-time PhD research faculty positions and physician clinical research faculty appointments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical, translational, and health services research focused on identifying and addressing the multifactorial sources of suffering associated with serious illness.
• Contribute to the advancement of the science of serious illness care through rigorous research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and scholarly dissemination.

Requirements

• PhD in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in conducting research related to palliative medicine.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
• Strong publication record or potential for high-quality research.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Research experience in palliative medicine or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Knowledge of qualitative and mixed-methods research.
• Experience with electronic medical record analyses.
