Responsibilities
- Point of contact for the Master of Arts in American History program and Summer Online programs
- Liaison to the Gilder Lehrman Institute (GLI)
- Maintain and revise Office of the Registrar procedures pertaining to graduate programs and summer online programs
- Answer questions via the telephone, email or office walk-ins from students, parents, faculty and staff on matters of College and office policies and procedures relating to the Office of the Registrar
- In collaboration with GLI, establish the academic calendar and course schedules
- In collaboration with APPC and the Provost’s Office, establish the summer online course schedules
- Assist the Registrar with course enrollment for graduate and summer programs, including the setup for enrollment appointment times
- Manage student registration functions including pre-registration, registration and add/drop
- Record and verify final course grades and grade changes for graduate and summer programs
- Evaluate and award transfer credit for graduate level course credits
- Work with faculty and staff to ensure compliance with FERPA
- Report graduate program and summer program enrollment information; both internal and external reporting obligations
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs Administration, or a related field preferred
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience working with student records in higher education is required
- Excellent record keeping and communication skills both written and oral as well as organizational skills
