About the role

Responsibilities
- Contribute to and oversee all ranch activities and functions of assigned fryers and fryer ranch.
- Direct the grow out of fryers through setup, brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccinations, and medications, maintaining conditions for optimal quality.
- Maintain ranch facilities, including appearance, coordination with maintenance, and managing materials and service calls.
- Follow and enforce strict sanitation procedures, monitoring bird health, and reporting any abnormalities to the Field Supervisor.
- React responsibly to emergencies affecting the chickens, both day and night.
- Manage and control ranch production costs, including labor, fuel, supplies, utilities, medications, and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all ranch activities, such as feed, mortality, fuel, production, and energy consumption.
- Provide proper training and delegate duties to all ranch personnel.
- Adhere to and enforce company safety, animal welfare, and disease prevention guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of chicken-raising experience and completion of the Chicken Grow Out Training Program.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Supervisory and leadership skills, along with good mathematical and organizational abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (Basic English).
- Able to move and lift 25 pounds.
- Preference for mechanical aptitude.
- Able to live on company-provided housing and respond to alarms and adverse conditions.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Able to follow and enforce company standards, guidelines, and policies.
- Able to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.
- Desire and ability to maintain a clean and presentable ranch and dwelling.

Pay
$16.50 per hour, with additional rates for shifts between 7:00pm and 11:59pm ($1.00 per hour), and between 12:00am-4:59am ($2.00 per hour).
