Assistant Public Works Director
Town of Jackson, WY – Exempt position reporting to the Public Works Director.
About the role
The Town of Jackson is seeking a qualified individual with demonstrated abilities in budgeting, GIS, capital project management, personnel management, and team building to assist in leading the Public Works team. This position assists in all aspects of planning, directing, and coordinating the work plan and management of the department, as well as specifically assigned projects.
The Public Works team consists of administration, wastewater treatment and collection, streets and infrastructure, water wells and distribution, engineering, fleet maintenance/management, and facilities maintenance.

Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience with 3 of those years in a supervisory capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in engineering, public administration, or a closely related field.
- Strong values orientation.
- Local government experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
$130,000 – $150,000, dependent on qualifications.
