About the role
Under the direction of the Property Manager, this role assists in maintaining compliance and the successful day-to-day operations in all aspects of property management. This role requires regular communication with residents to ensure on-time rent payment and adherence to lease agreements. Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest level of customer service and online presence to obtain satisfactory scores on surveys/reviews from residents and prospects.
- Thoroughly understand policies related to screening qualifications, application criteria, lease paperwork, rent collection, and move-in/move-out procedures; explain these items to existing and prospective residents.
- Review resident files and accounting records to determine unpaid and/or late fees owed; communicate with residents regarding outstanding balances, implement collection procedures, and enforce the lease.
- Tour community, amenities, and vacant apartments with prospects; maintain current knowledge of apartment specifications, vacancies, notices, and rental rates.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years onsite as a Leasing Consultant.
- Competence in personal computer skills, including keyboard, internet search, math, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Thorough understanding and application of Fair Housing laws.
- LIHTC experience is required.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (sponsorship not available).

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $23.00–$25.00 per hour, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
