Assistant Property Manager

Location: Village of the Pines - Reno, NV

About the role

Under the direction of the Property Manager, this role assists in maintaining compliance and the successful day-to-day operations in all aspects of property management. This role requires regular communication with residents to ensure on-time rent payment and adherence to lease agreements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest level of customer service and online presence to obtain satisfactory scores on surveys/reviews from residents and prospects.
• Responsible for having a thorough understanding of policies related to screening qualifications, application criteria, lease paperwork, rent collection, and move-in/move-out procedures, and be able to explain these items to existing and prospective residents.
• Review resident files and accounting records to determine unpaid and/or late fees owed, communicate with residents regarding outstanding balances, implement procedures for collecting on delinquent balances, and enforce the lease.
• Tour community, amenities, and vacant apartments with prospects and have current knowledge of apartment specifications, vacancies, notices, and rental rates.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-2 years onsite as a Leasing Consultant required.
• Competence in personal computer skills, including keyboard, internet search, math, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Thorough understanding and application of Fair Housing laws.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.)

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $26.00 – $28.00 per hour, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
