Assistant Project Manager- Telecom

At Bigham Cable Construction, as an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll share management responsibility for assigned projects and ensure the accuracy, completeness, safety, and profitability of each.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project
• Manage multiple projects to completion
• Function effectively in high-stress situations
• Communicate with company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid state driver’s license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check

Skills & Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of the telecommunications industry
• Ability to use a computer and other office-related equipment
• Familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines/poles, and various other telecommunications construction equipment, and the functionality of each
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
