Roles And Responsibilities
- Report directly to an MSS Project Manager in the National Area.
- Travel to projects throughout the US and Caribbean to perform project management services.
- Aid the project manager in determining project needs, constraints, and responsibilities.
- Assist in the preparation of MEP assessments and reports.
- Perform site visits to document project progress.
- Create site visit reports and distribute to the project team.
- Prepare conference call meeting notes and reports.
- Review project scope of work and equipment specifications with the project manager.
- Administer request for quotations (RFQ) to equipment vendors.
- Administer request for proposals (RFP) to contractors.
- Create contractor and equipment bid comparisons.
- Create project schedule for review by the project manager.
- Prepare purchase orders for review by the project manager.
- Prepare installation contracts for review by the project manager.
- Assemble project closeout documentation.
- Create closeout binders and ship to customers.
- Update project budgets and project cost summary.
- Document work by maintaining and organizing files for each job in MSS database and central server.
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, EIT Certification, or equivalent work experience.
- A regular and supervisory probation period may be required, if applicable.
- Random drug testing is required.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Physical demands include frequent sitting, occasional stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; frequent standing, walking, reaching, and gripping; clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone; vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data; repetitive motions for computer equipment use; exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places (job sites) and/or an office environment with conditioned air and bright lights.
