Assistant Project Manager- Fort Myers

Hypower, LLC is an electrical and utility contractor specializing in heavy civil electrical infrastructure, building construction, outside plant power and communications, airfield lighting, and solar farms nationwide. The company also provides 24/7 commercial and industrial electrical service and special projects in Florida.

About the role

Assist in managing projects from start-up to closeout under the direction of a Project Manager. Coordinate with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives, schedule completion, and timely material deliveries are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of projects from start-up to closeout.
• Work with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers regarding assigned schedules, project progress, inventory, and material deliveries.
• Analyze blueprints and specifications; review proposals and project requirements.
• Review and prepare shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate material procurement and ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal/state laws.
• Provide status updates and maintain documentation records.

Requirements

• 3 years of construction and cost management experience.
• Experience or education in preparing take-offs and estimates.
• Knowledge of construction aspects (labor, materials, equipment, methods) and industry practices, processes, and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to learn customized software.

Pay

$75,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
