Assistant Project Manager - Engineering Technical Delivery

About the role

AECOM is seeking to hire a motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to support one of our offices in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of technical design for engineering plans, calculations, and reports
• Perform required independent quality assurance and verification inspections of deliverables
• Support the Sup TE to provide Over the Shoulder review
• Provide assistance and feedback on innovative technical approaches
• Coordinate and solicit feedback from internal and external stakeholders
• Review and provide feedback as directed on draft changes to configuration documents
• Identify and mitigate project risks

Requirements

BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience and or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include a Civil Engineering bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 15+ years of civil engineering experience including 5+ years of high-speed rail experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply engineering judgment in design of high-speed rail projects
• Knowledge of various phases and functional responsibility of high-speed rail project development and delivery, federal and state contracting laws and regulations
• Experience in project management and managing multi-discipline teams to meet project milestones
