About the role
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the project management team in managing commercial construction projects from concept through completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing project plans and schedules
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to manage project timelines and budgets
- Communicate effectively with clients to maintain project progress and resolve issues
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction project management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
