Assistant Project Manager
Principal Duties and Accountabilities
- Aid in developing and maintaining client relationships
- Coordinate purchasing, procurement, subcontracts, and submittals, and manage project schedules
- Monitor and direct construction quality and progress on-site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Manage profit margins for assigned projects
- Foster positive relationships with the project team, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Review and process submittals
- Manage subcontractor proposal requests, scope reviews, and issuance of subcontracts
- Monitor and oversee the progress of field and subcontractor schedules
- Issue large purchase orders
- Participate in safety program oversight and conduct job site safety reviews
- Coordinate all job correspondence
- Identify and pursue opportunities for future projects
- Assist in project closeout processes
- Ensure alignment with U.S. Engineering’s core values
Job Scope and Other Information
The scope of work may vary, ranging from managing a single large project to overseeing multiple smaller projects.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Equivalent technical training and related experience will be considered
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level

Physical and/or Travel Demands
- Routine driving to project sites required
- Work in a combination of office and job site environments
- Travel to, temporary assignment, or relocation may be required based on project needs and locations
- Physical demands include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Position includes sitting and standing, use of telephone, keyboard, and computer monitor
Benefits and Compensation
- The range for this position has been established at $80,154.00 - $113,218.00 per year
- Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off.
