Assistant Project Manager
About the role
Skanska is searching for a dynamic Assistant Project Manager to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects. The position assists in the management of the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome while working under supervision. You will assist in the management and/or coordination of on-site staff, gather and distribute information, and contribute to projects that make a clear impact on society and the environment—such as schools, roads, and hospitals.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome.
- Coordinate on-site staff and gather/distribute project information.
- Create documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence related to contract notification provisions.
- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Outline specifications required for client submissions and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
- Prepare subcontract scopes and contracts.
- Support project close-out processes.
- Work with cost control systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence on contract notification provisions.
- 5+ years of experience reading and understanding construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Able to outline specifications for client submissions and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
- 5+ years preparing subcontract scopes and contracts.
- 3+ years of experience with project close-out.
- 2+ years working with cost control systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
