Assistant Project Manager

About the role
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the successful planning and execution of data center development and construction projects across Rowan Digital Infrastructure’s growing portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional partners to assist with project coordination, reporting, schedule tracking, and issue resolution to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional eager to build a strong foundation in large-scale infrastructure project delivery while contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Location: Denver, Colorado (Hybrid)
Travel: Up to 25% for company gatherings or project sites
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in the day-to-day coordination and execution of data center development and construction projects
- Assist with maintaining project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and action item logs
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and key dependencies; escalate risks and issues as appropriate
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Support procurement activities, including tracking contracts, change orders, and invoices
- Assist with document control, ensuring drawings, specifications, and project records are current and organized
- Help monitor compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Support site activities as needed, including occasional travel to active project sites
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and reporting standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience supporting projects in construction, infrastructure, real estate development, or a related industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with document control and project management software (e.g., Procore, P6) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and grow into increased responsibility over time
- Familiarity with data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial construction projects is a plus but not required
