About the role
CORE is looking for a Construction Professional to participate in the management of mid to large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the South Bay area.
Responsibilities
- Review plans and specs to ensure accuracy
- Prepare General Conditions
- Establish baseline schedules for each subcontractor or self-performing team
- Track project costs
- Complete change management, RFIs, and warranty documentation
- Review and process shop drawings and submittals
- Auxiliary in writing subcontracts and pay applications
- Manage trade partner relationships
- Conduct regular jobsite coordination meetings
- Supervise all documentation with trade partners
- Help maintain client relationships
- Provide ongoing team communication throughout the project
Requirements
- Relevant work experience/internship working for a commercial construction, engineering or architecture company
- Professional Degree in construction management, architecture or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction tech, interior design, business administration) is preferred
- Basic understanding of construction project sequencing and scheduling
- Ability to review and understand drawings and specifications as well as constructability
- Ability to negotiate, write and execute all subcontract agreements
- Willingness to relocate to or near the South Bay area
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and Procore
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
- A valid Driver's License
Pay
This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
