Assistant Project Manager

This position will work a third-shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM for the duration of one year.

About the role

At Bigham Cable Construction, as an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for sharing management over assigned projects and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, safety, and profitability of each. The role requires a good working knowledge of the telecommunications industry, familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines/poles, and various telecommunications construction equipment, and the ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project.
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project.
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project.
• Manage multiple projects to completion.
• Function effectively in high-stress situations.
• Communicate with company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
