Responsibilities

  • Aid Sr. Project Managers and/or Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
  • Prepare project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
  • Manage one to two discipline "small" projects under the supervision of a Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager.
  • Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
  • Act as the primary communication link between project teams, consultants, and outsourcing partners.
  • Follow established procedures to effectively administer projects, including construction cost estimating, correspondence, document controls, etc.
  • Communicate client requirements to each discipline.
  • Participate in client contact and business development activities.
  • Prepare proposals.
  • Collect past due accounts.
  • Assist in training of other Assistant Project Managers or project team members.
  • Attend client meetings to take meeting minutes and prepare for distribution.
  • Log Request for Information (RFI), submittals, filings, and productivity weekly project reports.
  • Cope with meetings and establish all paper flow and document control with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and others involved.
  • Coordinate printing and processing of bulletins and addendums with Project Management Assistant (PMA).
  • Coordinate the completion and distribution of client as-recorded drawings and project close-out documents.
  • Occasionally travel to other SSOE offices and/or client locations for coordination purposes or to provide training.
  • Coordinate printing, assembly, and distribution of construction documents issued for bids.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture qualifying for licensure in the state of practice or an Associate degree in the architectural field is preferred.
  • CAPM Certification is encouraged.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience as an Architect 1 or a minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Travel required.
  • Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with the following software packages: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CADD.
