Assistant Program Manager - Disability Support Staff
About the Role
As an Assistant Program Manager at Grand Traverse Industries (GTI), you will support team members in our Life Enrichment Program and Work programs, playing a key role in helping participants grow personally and professionally. You'll provide hands-on support, encouragement, and supervision as individuals complete work tasks, participate in skill-building activities, and engage in community outings. You'll also ensure quality standards for GTI products and services and maintain simple caseload documentation.

Responsibilities
- Support individuals in reaching their employment and personal goals.
- Lead engaging daily activities and community experiences.
- Provide quality control for work completed within the program.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and teamwork.
- Maintain basic caseload paperwork and progress notes.
- Follow and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Complete and stay current in all mandatory trainings.
- Promote positive social interactions.
- Support individuals in the community, in their job, or at their job (enclaves or facility-based).
- Teach skills to expand a person's independence and progress toward goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, follow all safety protocols.
- Administer medications, support individuals with hygiene, and provide supervision in all settings.
- Maintain positive relationships and adequate communication with each client's home provider, CSM, parents, guardians, and other support.
- Provide transportation with a company vehicle for work or community access.
- Complete quality control, track client work totals, and plan work schedules.
- Maintain an advocacy role.
- May be assigned to work in other departments or programs.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Pass a background check.
- Full range of motion and physical strength.
- Ability to achieve and maintain training and certifications.
- Basic computer usage/knowledge.
Skills
- Desire to work in a team environment, even when supporting someone individually.
- Ability to work independently.
- Treat people with kindness, not cruelty or harshness, showing compassion (gentle teaching philosophy).
- A level of integrity that motivates doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Pay
Starting pay: $17.13–$19.50/hour.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm). Paid lunch breaks.
