Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) in Digital Humanities

About the role

The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) position in Digital Humanities. This role is designed for an emerging expert in using digital methods within the humanities or social sciences to lead a growing center in Digital Humanities in Asia.

Responsibilities

• Apply digital methods to address contemporary issues in culture and society
• Teach on the Digital Humanities MA programme and potentially undergraduate courses
• Contribute to the development of the Asian Centre of Digital Cultures and the new Masters programme in Digital Humanities
• Collaborate with other faculty members across the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences

Requirements

• Doctorate in an appropriate field
• Experience in artificial intelligence, large language models, data and text analytics, data visualization, and network analysis
• A focus on Asia is preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Strong record of high-quality research in related fields
• Ability to contribute to the mission of shaping the future through technology and human creativity

Skills

• Expertise in artificial intelligence, large language models, data and text analytics, data visualization, and network analysis
• Ability to apply these skills to address cultural and societal issues
