Assistant Professor, Social Work Practicum Education
About the role
The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work seeks a full-time 12-month appointment-stream faculty member to join the Office of Practicum Education. This position includes teaching social work courses, service on school committees, and responsibilities related to practicum education.
Responsibilities
- Identify community placement opportunities
- MATCH students to placements
- Serve as a faculty liaison to support student learning in practicum
- Train community practicum instructors
Requirements
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree
- At least 5 years of post-MSW practice experience
- Experience and expertise in social work practicum education and social work practice
- Facility with academic software and technology
