Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Allergy/Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree
• Skills in natural killer cell biology, quantitative imaging and tumor microenvironment modeling
• Expertise in the lytic immunological synapse and natural killer cell deficiency

Research or Scholarship Responsibilities

• Initiating and conducting independent experiments without direct supervision and with minimal guidance from the principal investigator
• Developing new experimental procedures and publishing research results
• Collaborating and interacting with other researchers within the home research institute and at other institutions
• Developing new experimental procedures and hypotheses for further investigation
• Preparing manuscripts and abstracts for publication
• Publishing scientific articles in refereed journals, presenting at scientific symposiums
• Preparing grant proposals for external funding
• Serving as resource person for colleagues and as a mentor for less experienced research personnel
• Managing/supervising other research staff or projects and assisting with the management of laboratory operations
