About the role

The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Allergy, and Immunology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member specializing in pediatric allergy/immunology. Candidates will be at the assistant professor level of the clinical educator track.

Responsibilities

  • Treating a range of allergenic and immune system disorders
  • Providing services including allergy skin testing, allergy shots (immunotherapy), asthma management, eczema management, food allergy evaluation and management, oral food challenges, penicillin skin testing, evaluation and diagnosis of primary immunodeficiencies, and immune globulin replacement therapy (IVIG and SCIG)
  • Leading the only Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiency in the state of Florida, providing advanced diagnostic, research, and therapeutic modalities for children and adolescents with primary immune deficiency
  • Delivering excellent patient care
  • Teaching fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Engaging in clinical and/or translational research, seeking extramural funding for original research related to stem cell transplantation and working closely with UM's growing Bone Marrow Transplant program

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in clinical and/or translational research, and will be able to develop and participate in original research projects.

Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from an accredited medical school
  • A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Florida
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Pediatrics
  • Successful completion of a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology
  • Experience in clinical and/or translational research

Pay

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
