About the role

The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor - Research - MIND Center. Located in Jackson, MS, UMMC is the state's only academic health science center with a mission to improve the lives of Mississippians through education, research, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with the MIND Center’s mission.
• Teach and mentor students in the MIND Center’s curriculum.
• Participate in grant writing and securing funding for research projects.
• Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers within the Medical Center.

Requirements

• A PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience.
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in grant writing and securing funding.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
