Job Duties
- Provide subspecialty breast imaging interpretation and consultation, delivering evidence based diagnostic imaging services across a range of breast conditions.
- Interpret breast imaging studies including screening and diagnostic mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
- Perform image guided breast procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound guided, and MRI guided biopsies and preoperative localization procedures.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation and reporting of imaging studies and procedures to support continuity of care and billing requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology to support patient care and treatment planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, departmental meetings, seminars, and faculty activities as permitted by clinical and academic responsibilities.
- Instruct and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and educational settings; provide coaching appropriate to the learner’s level and evaluate learner performance.
- Engage in scholarly activity, clinical research, and quality improvement efforts aligned with the missions of the Department.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO (or equivalent).
- AABR board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
- Completion of ACGME-accredited Breast Imaging fellowship.
