About the Role

The Joan C. Edwards Marshall University School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Pediatric Neurologist with a completed residency in Neurology and completed fellowship in child neurology. Must have or be eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in the State of West Virginia.

Duties include clinic, hospital, and teaching components:

• Provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for pediatric Neurology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide general pediatric neurology call coverage with other pediatric neurologists in a shared system.
• Active in physician and hospital outreach activities related to pediatric neurology.
• Participate in medical student and resident education, as well as research.
• All other appropriate duties as assigned by the chair of the Department of Neurology.

Requirements

• Medical degree and completion of residency training in Neurology and a fellowship in Pediatric Neurology.
• Must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Neurology.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in the State of West Virginia.
• Ability to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.

Qualifications

• Interest in academic medicine with an emphasis on clinic-based practice.
• Strong desire to teach and mentor medical students.
