About the Role

The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Strategy position starting at the beginning of the 27/28 academic year. We seek exceptional candidates who can push the boundaries of the strategy field by conducting world-class research and teaching. We encourage applications from individuals who expect to complete their PhD by the position start date, as well as from current assistant professors with a short but strong record of research and teaching excellence. Both emerging scholars and outstanding early-career faculty are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Candidates will be expected to conduct path-breaking research in strategy
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate strategy courses

Required Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate before the beginning of the 27/28 academic year (i.e., August 2027)
  • Evidence of strong research and teaching potential must be demonstrated
  • Candidates must have the ability and motivation to undertake a rigorous program of research and engage in innovative teaching individually as well as within a team

Desired Qualifications

  • Preparation and research in strategic management or a closely related field are highly desired
