Assistant Professor of Psychology
About the role
The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking a qualified social psychologist to fill a beginning-level, tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Psychology position with primary teaching responsibility at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate classes both online and on-campus
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Have knowledge of contemporary curricular content for social psychology
- Build relationships with community and campus partners
- Establish an independent research program that will build on and add to existing community partnerships
- Pursue and secure external funding
- Mentor students in research
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Social Psychology or related field
- Documented record of research and publication or demonstrated potential for research and publication
- Documented college-level teaching experience both online and in the classroom and mentoring students in research or demonstrated potential

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, AK. This is a full-time, 9-month base, tenure-track, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. Schedule
