Theater PoP Adjustments
Teaching and Advising
- Teach theater arts courses in areas of expertise and as needed by the Theater Arts program
- Teach general education courses
- Advise Theater Arts and other performing arts students
Service
- Lead the theater program (in collaboration with the SILA leadership)
- curricular and staffing needs (recruiting, mentoring, and supporting part time instructors), as well as recruitment and retention initiatives for theater students
- Serve as the Director of Theater by taking on the role of Producer for Theater at Plymouth State University in collaboration with the Silver Center for the Arts and the SILA leadership
Requirements
- Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: MFA
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience teaching Acting, Directing, Script Analysis, Theatre History, Voice & Diction
- Experience teaching introductory “First Year Seminar” style classes from an interdisciplinary perspective
- Experience teaching interdisciplinary capstone courses
- Experience performing, directing, and producing plays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in theater education outreach, such as experience as an education director in theatre organizations
Compensation
Pay Range: $57,000 - $62,000
The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon the candidate’s qualifications.
