The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Requirements

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
  • Board eligible or certified
  • Expertise in brain tumor surgery and brain tumor research

Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Education of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Clinical: Neurosurgical management of brain tumors and oversight of multi-disciplinary care of brain tumor patients, including clinical trials, with a particular focus on gliomas
  • Research/Scholarship: Translational and/or basic research in brain tumors, with funding from the National Institutes of Health and other federal funding agencies as PI
