About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, neurology residents, neurology fellows, and graduate students.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient and inpatient consultations, workup, diagnosis, and treatment of Neurology patients.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing collaborative research programs; co-supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff; coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators; and participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong academic record, demonstrated excellence in clinical care, and a commitment to research and education.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
