About the role
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include bedside teaching and oversight of observers, medical students, residents and fellows in a clinical setting, and formal lecture opportunities within the department.
- Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient service and outpatient clinic.
- Facilitate the new Neuroscience Center’s expansion by joining a team of 63 Child Neurology attending physicians and scientists.
- Join a team of 7 residents per year through our ACGME-accredited 5-year child neurology residency program.
- Provide precise diagnoses, individualized clinical care, and cutting-edge surgical treatments to achieve groundbreaking discoveries through the integration of world-renowned specialists in Child Neurology and Neurosurgery.
- Staff the 24-bed inpatient Neuroscience Unit with an inter-disciplinary team that includes specialists in pediatric neuroscience.
- Expand inpatient neurologic care and a 4-bed epilepsy monitoring unit in the newly opened CHOP King of Prussia Hospital.
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
Qualifications
- Broad clinical skills.
- Expertise in epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology, headache, neonatal neurology, critical care neurology, and inpatient neurology are especially encouraged to apply.
