Assistant Professor of Marketing – Tenure Track

About the role

The University of Scranton invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Marketing within the Department of Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship in the Kania School of Management. The position begins in August 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, including but not limited to Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Strategy.
  • Maintain an active program of scholarship leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD candidates will be considered, but degree must be completed by August 2026).
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.

Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in teaching with experiential learning methods.
  • Ability to contribute to the department's growing emphasis on digital marketing and analytics is a plus.
