About the role

The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida invites applications for two 9-month, full-time, non-tenure earning Assistant Professors of Instruction, with an anticipated start date of August 7, 2026. Salary is negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate chemistry courses, including general and organic lectures, potentially in a coordinated manner to ensure consistent instruction to students across multiple sections;
  • Contributing to curriculum development and continuous course improvement;
  • Participating in departmental duties, including service on committee work and collaboration with teaching and learning partners;
  • Assisting with TA training, evaluation and instructional support.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Chemistry or a closely related field;
  • Demonstrated commitment to effective undergraduate teaching and student success.
