Responsibilities
- Teaching Programming, Database, Networking or Cybersecurity courses as well as introductory courses in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity curriculum.
- Teaching schedules may include in person, online, hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities that enhance student learning.
- Teaching responsibilities include innovative and engaging use of technology in the classroom.
- Additional activities include curriculum development, academic mentoring/advisement, participation in Departmental and Division activities, support of college activities, and professional development.
- Active service on college committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- An MS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in higher education.
- An interest in cybersecurity, database and programming languages is preferred.
- Excellent teaching skills; good interpersonal skills; effective written and oral communication skills; and the ability to function collegially as a member of the faculty as demonstrated by experience in higher education.
- The ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse collegiate community.
- Industry or entrepreneurial experience is useful.
