About the role
The Division of Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch is recruiting for a full-time faculty position in adult allergy/immunology.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and inpatient allergy/immunology care across multiple sites
- Perform and interpret skin testing, patch testing, spirometry, FENO, and PFTs
- Manage immunotherapy, oral food/drug challenges, and desensitization
- Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients
- Supervise and train fellows, residents, and students in clinical and procedural care
- Teach diagnostic interpretation and participate in didactic conferences
- Mentor trainees and support fellowship recruitment and program development
- Engage in community education and outreach in allergy/immunology
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree
- Must be Board Certified or Eligible in Allergy and Immunology
- Eligibility for Texas medical licensure
Qualifications
- Strong background in allergy/immunology
- Interest in teaching
- Excellent communication skills
