About the role
The New England College of Optometry (NECO) Clinical Network invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry. This full-time, clinical track position starts at $110,000 and begins in July 2026, pending credentialing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality didactic instruction in ocular disease and posterior segment conditions
- Lead student labs and workshops, fostering critical thinking and clinical reasoning
- Prepare students for patient care and participate in our clinical network
- Contribute scholarly to the field and on college committees
- Deliver patient care at one of our clinic sites
Requirements
- A doctor of optometry (OD) degree with TPA+ licensure in Massachusetts
- Advanced professional credentials such as residency training or equivalent clinical experience
- Appropriate credentials for a faculty appointment
- An active commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching
