About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS).

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include training and supervision of Ob Gyn residents and medical students.
  • Teaching Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellows is in the near future as well.
  • Performing gynecologic care and minimally invasive surgery.
  • Providing multidisciplinary care to patients with complex conditions such as fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis, and abnormal placentation and complex ectopic pregnancies.
  • Utilizing expertise in multiple surgical modalities including laparoscopy, robotics, and operative hysteroscopy.

Requirements

  • Must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Board certified and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Formal fellowship training in MIGS.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills in gynecologic care and minimally invasive surgery.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting.
