Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Echocardiography/Multimodality Faculty Position
About the role
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Echocardiography. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Completed Level III certification in echocardiography is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows in the echocardiography laboratory and if applicable while on rotation.
- Clinical responsibilities may include reading transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, supervising transesophageal echocardiograms, seeing patients in the echocardiography laboratory and inpatient service or clinic, and reading CT/MRI/nuclear.
Requirements
Completed Level III certification in echocardiography is strongly preferred.
